Collaboration and Communication ​

Effective collaboration and communication are essential pillars of our development process at InnoGE GmbH. We believe that frequent and transparent communication ensures the smooth flow of ideas and keeps everyone aligned.

Communication Tools ​

• Slack: Our primary tool for communication. We have various channels dedicated to different purposes, but for major announcements and weekly meetings, we use the #general channel.

• Microsoft Teams: While we prefer using Slack for huddles and quick chats, Teams is occasionally used for more formal or extended discussions.

Weekly Developer Meetings ​

Every Thursday at 2 PM CEST, we conduct a global developer meeting. These meetings provide an opportunity for team members to discuss ongoing projects, raise any concerns, and share updates. All developers are expected to join this meeting through a Slack huddle in the #general channel.

Task and Project Management ​

• GitHub Projects: For task tracking and project management, we utilize GitHub Projects. This ensures that our project management tools are integrated seamlessly with our codebase, enabling developers to quickly move from tasks to code and vice versa.

Responding to Communications ​

While we value rapid responses, we understand that everyone has different tasks and priorities. The general guideline is to respond as quickly as feasible. This ensures that blockers are addressed promptly and collaborative tasks proceed without unnecessary delays.

Video Conferencing ​

While Slack Huddles are our go-to for video calls, we occasionally use Microsoft Teams for more structured or larger team meetings. Always check the platform before joining a scheduled meeting.
